This session will provide strategies in designing and implementing STEM education for teachers and stakeholder in providing STEM education to disadvantaged student populations (students with IEPs, English Learners and low income students). This sesson will include hands-ons learning experiences designed to promote the creative implementation of NGSS and Common Core standards using Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education. Educators will receive strategies to teach high leverage literacy practices to students to succeed through academic conversations as well as interactive activities that stimulate curiosity, discovery, critical thinking, cooperation and collaboration.
